Nella cornice della GDC 2024, come di consuetudine si sono svolte le premiazioni dei Game Developers Choice Awards 2024 (GDC Awards 2024), i premi annuali assegnati ai titoli più meritevoli del 2023 . La vittoria del premio Game of the Year è andata (in maniera molto scontata) a Baldur’s Gate 3, che porta a casa l’ennesima statuetta di Gioco dell’Anno.
