La scorsa notte sono state annunciate ufficialmente le candidature ai Critics’ Choice Awards 2020, riconoscimenti assegnati annualmente ai migliori film e serie televisive da parte dei 250 critici cinematografici della Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA). The Irishman di Martin Scorsese guida i nominati di quest’anno con un totale di quattordici menzioni, anche per il miglior film e regista. Il secondo titolo più citato è stato C’era una volta a Hollywood di Quentin Tarantino con dodici assegnazioni, seguito da Piccole Donne con nove, 1917 e Marriage Story con otto ciascuno e Jojo Rabbit, Joker e Parasite con sette. Nel frattempo dalla parte della televisione, When They See Us di Netflix è in testa con un totale di sei, seguito da This Is Us della NBC e Schitt’s Creek di Pop con cinque per uno. Barry, Game of Thrones, Watchmen e Chernobyl della HBO; Fleabag di Amazon; The Crown di Netflix ne hanno guadagnate quattro.
