Gli organizzatori della 42a edizione dei Golden Joystick Awards hanno svelato i contendenti per i premi di quest’anno. Sono state anche aperte le votazioni (direttamente dal sito dell’organizzatore Games Radar) e rimarranno attive fino all’una di notte tra il primo e il 2 novembre ora italiana.
Ricordiamo che quella dei Golden Joystick Awards è la più longeva manifestazione di premiazione di giochi votata dal pubblico. I vincitori saranno svelati nel corso di una cerimonia di premiazione nel centro di Londra e trasmessa in live-streaming in tutto il mondo giovedì 21 novembre.
Per quel che riguarda la lista dei candidati al premio “Ultimate Game of the Year”, sarà annunciata lunedì 4 novembre e le votazioni per questa categoria si apriranno quello stesso giorno. I premi di quest’anno introducono nuove categorie, tra cui “Miglior colonna sonora” e “Miglior design audio”, che sostituiscono il precedente premio “Miglior audio”. Anche il premio “Still Playing” è stato diviso in due categorie: “Mobile” e “Console e PC”. È stata inoltre aggiunta la categoria “Miglior gioco indie – autoprodotto”, che si affianca al premio “Miglior gioco indie”, assegnato da tempo.
