Sony ha rivelato i vincitori dei premi assegnati in base ai migliaia di voti inviati dagli utenti di PlayStation. L’evento prende il nome di PlayStation Game Awards e, nello specifico, si tratta di trofei organizzati e assegnati dal colosso nipponico per i prodotti usciti sulla sua console nel corso dell’anno. God of War ha fatto man bassa di nomination, ed è stato capace di portarsi a casa ben sette premi, ai quali bisogna aggiungere anche quello per il miglior studio di sviluppo assegnato a Santa Monica. Il premio come miglior gioco sportivo è stato assegnato a FIFA 19, il che non stupisce affatto, mentre in ambito multiplayer ha trionfato Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Fortnite si è messo in mostra e ha convinto i giocatori PlayStation per il consistente supporto fornito da Epic Games.
