The announcement of a new title dedicated to one of the most beloved science fiction sagas, Alien, has left us all a bit ‘confused. After the disappointment with Aliens: Colonial Marines, which has literally split the opinions related to the game in “horrible” and “it’s wonderful, it’s like in the movie,” Sega decided to try again with Aliens: Isolation, but this time the rumors reported a plot really not bad.
The Creative Assembly masterpiece?
Sega has entrusted to  English videogames studio, The Creative Assembly , creators of Total War , the development of Aliens: Isolation. The title was to be announced at E3 2013 but due to the negative feedback received by critics and audiences for Aliens: Colonial Marines , the company decided to take all the time necessary to bring to market a title that would put all agree . The star of Aliens: Isolation seems to be Amanda Ripley, daughter of Ellen Ripley (character that made famous Sigourney Weaver and kicked off the ubiquitous sci- fi franchise for years). Amanda, who is mentioned in the special edition of Aliens among the dead while Ellen was frozen in space, has not yet been the subject of books, movies or games dedicated to the universe of Alien extended. We can be sure that it will be a first- person shooter and the setting will be a space station: for most of the plot will be a single enemy, but we are also involved in several shootouts with clones and soldiers. There will be elements of horror and stealth, and the gameplay is said to be inspired by masterpieces like Dishonored and Bioshock Infinite.
Just to add hype (which also involves us), we can imagine, for the PC version, an Oculus Rift support: imagine what must be incredible to meet face to face an Alien, but playing a character that until now has always been held in sidelines. We are confident that thanks to pack drivers released (VorpX in particular, with whom already the previous chapter has been adapted to VR) we could try Aliens: Isolation.
