Metacritic ha reso nota la classifica dei 10 migliori titoli e dei 10 peggiori nel 2017. Il noto sito statunitense, per chi non lo sapesse, raccoglie recensione lungo tutto il globo e le trasforma in un valore numerico che (teoricamente) rappresenta il modo in cui un prodotto è percepito e apprezzato nel mondo. Nella classifica non potevano mancare capolavori come The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild e Super Mario Odyssey, accompagnati da giochi come What Remains of Edith Finch e Nex Machina. Nel “worst of”, invece, risulta vincitore Vroom in the Night Sky, rivedibile titolo per Nintendo Switch con protagoniste alcune corse tra motociclette volanti.
